Serendipity

ser·en·dip·i·ty

(noun) the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way.

At 37 I was hit with the question.. What do I really want to do? I was in property management, but I was burned out and ready for a change.

Friends and family consistently told me that I should pursue interior decorating, but I didn’t know how I could turn that dream into a reality. I knew that I loved all things real estate, construction, and design, and had been working in that field over 10 years. It was made evident by a happenstance meeting that getting my real estate license was what the Lord was leading me to do.

I studied for the test and passed it on my 38th birthday, it was an absolute whirlwind experience! I had finally figured out what the Holy Spirit had been calling me towards. The Lord’s timing is a mysterious thing, maybe I wasn’t ready to answer the call before, but, I’ve experienced so many affirmations that I’m in the right place now. The process of becoming a realtor and taking on decorating clients has fulfilled me more than I ever imagined, and I firmly believe that we are all called to share the talents that we have been given.

This blog will serve as a published collection of resources. I want anyone to have access to the knowledge I’ve gained throughout my career. I hope you find this virtual space a source of inspiration for all things home. Creating a space for you and your family does not have to be overly indulgent or complicated, but it absolutely should be a space that beautifully reflects you. I have learned quite a few tricks of the trade, and I cannot wait to share them with you!

By stepping out in faith, this journey has been made possible by following God’s direction, the support of my family, friends, and a little bit of serendipity. Here’s to leading with love, and seeing where this blog takes us. Thanks for following along. More goodness is coming very soon!
